The crew of Geography of China of CCTV Science Channel visited Cuiwei Peak Scenic Area, Zengfang Village of Shishang Town, and Nanling Village of Luokou Town in Ningdu County from February 6 to 11. They filmed views of Cuiwei Peak and the cultural continuity of Qiaobang Lantern and Bamboo Pole Fiery Dragon.
Cuiwei Peak Scenic Area, with a total area of 78 square kilometers, is a national AAAA-level scenic spot and a national forest park. Cuiwei Peak is famous for its special Danxia landform with clusters of pinnacles.
Both Qiaobang Lantern of Zengfang Village of Shishang Town and Bamboo Pole Fiery Dragon of Nanling Village of Luokou Town are classified as intangible cultural heritage protection projects in Jiangxi Province. Qiaobang Lantern, a folk art item as well as a folk cultural activity, has a history of more than 200 years.
